The standard Hot Wheels Proton Saga barely had time to wipe its shoes on the mat before it went flying off the shelves in 2023,
so we knew the Hot Wheels Special Edition Proton Saga would be welcomed with the same fervour. It was an honour to put together a little “thank you” package for our media friends who have shown their support for Hot Wheels over the years. 

To make the gift more special, and for that touch of exclusivity, we had to move quickly to get these little pieces of Malaysian history into their post boxes before the diecast was available to the public. It was a race to the finish,
but as with any Hot Wheels project, you know we’re gonna say

“Challenge Accepted!” 

How could we NOT throw a party for the official launch of Hot Wheels Let’s Race the new Netflix series?!

We invited our friends to join us at the larger-than-life event at the concourse of IOI City Mall where they got to experience exciting elements and playsets inspired by the show! 

We also had the pleasure of playing host to some extra special VIPs who helped us kick off the day in true Hot Wheels style. Professional Racer, Tengku Djan Ley; founder of Art of Speed, Asep Ahmad; and professional karting driver,
Katrina Ee shared their expertise during a dialogue session designed specifically for the event.

One of the best things about our industry is that we get to solve interesting problems almost constantly! 

When Hot Wheels came to us about a play day event planned for a relatively new mall, they shared their concern about driving traffic to the event. We decided that the traditional media shout-outs and postings would not be able to do as much lifting
as we needed and, for the first time, reached out to parenting communities on Facebook.

We made arrangements with KL Mummy Group and IBU Group to create special perks for their members who came out
to visit the event and help create awareness about the event and its location. 

Sometimes you gotta see a product a work to see how it might work for you! 

Our friend Kittie Yiyi was the first name that came to mind when Hot Wheels told us they wanted a local skate enthusiast
to do a shoutout of their newly released fingerboards!

True to her signature style, Kittie delivered and then some, going the extra mile to fashion a matching tulle skirt
for her little fingerboard skater. What do you think? Feeling ready to drop in?

We were so excited to get the call to invite some new and old friends to join us at the Hot Wheels Skate™
and Hot Wheels Monster Trucks™ play day! Now, we do a lot of work with our words to try to communicate
the experience of some of these toys, but there’s nothing quite like watching the eyes of kids (and kids at heart) light up
when they are given a chance to get their hands dirty and see for themselves!
